Data we collect
We collect only what Plantalya needs to identify plants and schedule care reminders for you: account email, plant photos you upload, the reminders you create, and basic device metadata (OS version, language, anonymised usage events).
We do not collect location data in the background, contact lists, or biometric data.
How we use it
Photos are sent to our plant identification pipeline (hosted on secure cloud infrastructure in the EU) and discarded after 30 days. We aggregate anonymous usage events to improve accuracy and care recommendations. We never sell your data.
Third parties
Subprocessors include: Apple / Google for in-app purchases and push notifications, Cloudflare for hosting, Google Analytics for anonymous, IP-anonymised usage analytics (loaded only after you accept cookies), and a plant-identification model provider (contracted under GDPR-compliant DPA). Full list available on request.
Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your Plantalya data at any time from the app (Profile › Privacy) or by emailing [email protected]. EU residents have full GDPR rights including portability and the right to object to processing.
