Who writes Plantalya
Plantalya's plant library is written and edited under the responsibility of Allan Pissarello, founder of Plantalya. Every article carries a visible byline and a "last updated" date that reflects its most recent revision.
How guides are researched
Care recommendations are cross-checked against established botanical and horticultural references, including university extension resources and botanical databases. The sources used are cited at the bottom of each guide. Each plant's guide covers the questions readers actually face: watering, light, soil, propagation, and the pests and diseases most likely to affect that species.
Use of writing and imaging tools
We use software tools, including AI assistance, to help draft, translate and illustrate content, following a documented process. Published guides are written and edited under the responsibility of Allan Pissarello, founder, and the sources they rely on are cited on each page. If an image is illustrative rather than a real photograph, we are progressively replacing it with authentic photography.
Updates and corrections
Plant care is seasonal and our guides evolve with it. When we find an error, or a reader reports one, we check it against the sources and correct the article, then update its revision date. Spotted something wrong? Use the "Report an error on this page" button at the bottom of guides, or write to us via the contact page.
Advertising and independence
Plantalya's website promotes one product: the Plantalya app. We do not publish sponsored content, affiliate links or third-party advertising in our care guides. Editorial content is never altered in exchange for payment.
